Terms of Service
Effective October 22, 2026.
These terms cover thebeatnewsroom.com, the chamber portal, and our event check-in texting service, Beat Check-In. All three are run by Coleman Sourcing Solutions LLC, 116 N. Bridge St., Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin 54729 ("we"). If you use them, you agree to these terms. If your chamber has a signed agreement with us, that agreement governs wherever it differs from these terms.
Beat Check-In: text message terms
What it is. Beat Check-In is an event check-in service run by The Beat Newsroom, a product of Coleman Sourcing Solutions LLC. At a chamber event, you scan the code on the sign and send the text it fills in, or you text the event code to the number on the sign. We record your check-in and give the chamber that ran the event its attendance record. See how Beat Check-In works.
What we send. Only texts about your check-in: a confirmation, or one question asking your name and business. Message frequency: up to 3 messages per check-in. We send no marketing or promotional texts.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's plan decides those charges.
Help. Reply HELP for help, or email editor@thebeatnewsroom.com.
Stopping texts. Reply STOP at any time. You'll get no more texts from our number, whatever chamber or event. Reply START to opt back in.
Texting is optional. You never have to text to attend or to check in. A sign may also offer a web address where you can check in without texting, and the chamber can sign you in at the door.
Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and who sees it. Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
The website
You may read and share what we publish on this site. Please do not copy it wholesale or present it as your own. What you send through the site form must be accurate and yours to send.
The chamber portal (for chambers)
- Accounts. We set up each chamber's account. Keep your login to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- What you upload. You confirm that you have the right to give us the member lists, ad files and other material you upload, and that we may use them to produce your edition and run your event check-ins. You still own them.
- Attendance files. The file we send after an event is your attendance record. It is not permission to text the people on it. Do not text attendees from the file unless they have separately agreed to texts from your chamber.
- Event details. You are responsible for the event details you enter, including the IDs you give us from your membership software. Check them before the event.
What we promise, and what we don't
We work to keep the site, the portal and the check-in service running and accurate, but we provide them "as is." We don't promise they will never be interrupted. Text delivery depends on mobile carriers we don't control. Where the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about these services is limited to what your chamber paid us for them in the three months before the claim.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. When we do, we post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. These terms are governed by Wisconsin law.
